Beginning Wednesday, February 13th, please joins us every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on the ground floor of the Marvin Center from 5:30pm - 7:00pm. Space will be reserved each week for students to stop by, ask questions, study and learn more about GDP programs and services. This new series will kick-off with a conversation on Student Work & Life Balance. This conversation will be led by Andrew Goretsky, Director for Graduate, Distance & Professional Students Experience. (Registration will take place next week, email engage@gwu.edu with any questions.) The group members will choose what topics to discuss. Graduate students typically utilize groups to talk about some of the unique stressors of being a student and balancing work/life. It also is an opportunity to gain peer support and hear from others that may be going through the same types of stressors, particularly for students who might be new to the area, or new to GW. Discover Mount Vernon, Feb. 22 GW students are invited to tour the historic estate and witness a wreath-laying ceremony on the 281st birthday of George Washington, Commander-in-Chief of American forces in the Revolutionary War and the first President of the United States who called Mount Vernon home for more than 40 years.
The visit includes free transportation and admission. Space is limited.
