| WARNING: An e-mail phishing scam is currently circulating GW e-mail addresses disguised as official correspondence from the George Washington University. This is a reminder that you should NEVER reply to e-mail messages asking for personal information, even if it appears to be security related. No such e-mail will EVER come from GW or the Division of Information Technology asking users to reply with ANY information such as NetID, password, birth date, social security number, GWid number, etc. Additionally, please ensure that your computer is patched with the most recent operating system updates. If you have already responded to a phishing e-mail, have any questions or concerns or want to validate the source of a message, please contact the Division of Information Technology at 202-994-GWIT (4948), ithelp@gwu.edu or http://ITsupport.gwu.edu. Technology assistance is available through the IT Support Center 24 hours a day.
