Call for Student Volunteers

Tuesday, November 18th & Wednesday, November 19th

The George Washington University Confucius Institute, the 100,000 Strong Foundation, and the Embassy of China in the United States will jointly host the 100K Strong Annual Conference on November 18, 2014 at the Jack Morton Auditorium at GWU. This year’s theme is “Next Generation of Leaders in US - China Relations”.

VIP guests from the Department of State and the Chinese Embassy, guests and experts who specialize in US - China relations, faculty and students will be attending this conference.

The GW Confucius Institute now needs your help to make this conference a success!

If you are interested in volunteering at the conference on the following dates, please Sign-Up by November 8. Exact time-slots for each task will be announced. Times listed are tentative.

DAY 1-November 18

• Staff to Hand-out Event Materials at Registration (8:00 am - 10:00 am)
• Staff Help Oversee Breakfast Service (8:00 am - 11:00 am)
• Directional Staff to Direct People to Auditorium (8:00 am - 2:00 pm)
• Staff for Lunch Transition (11:00 am - 2:00 pm)
• Escorts for Tours/Bus Captains for Embassy
• Hotel Greeters

DAY 2-November 19 

• Staff to Hand-out Totes & Event Materials at Registration (8:00 am - 10:00 am)
• Directional Staff to Direct Students between Break-out Sessions (10:30 am - 11:00 am, 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm, 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm)
