GWU校长回应USNews Rank被踢事件（Statement from President Steven Knapp）

The George Washington University is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accuracy. For that reason when we discovered an error in the high school class rank data for our entering freshmen that we had submitted toU.S. News & World Report we disclosed the error both to U.S. News and to the university community. We did so without regard to any possible action that U.S. Newsmight take as a result. It was the decision of U.S. News to remove GW’s numerical ranking from its website until next year rather than to correct this year’s ranking.

Whatever reason U.S. News may have had for taking this step, we remain the same university today that we were yesterday. We measure ourselves by the talents of our students, the passion they bring to their studies and their drive to change the world; by the extraordinary achievements of alumni; by the excellence of a faculty that bridges the gap between theory and practice; and by the unparalleled opportunities we provide to our students as a university located in the heart of this nation’s capital.

We remain a university that strives for excellence and integrity in everything we do.
