Dear International Students:
During the last two weeks of December the ISO and the University as a whole will have very limited staffing due to the Christmas and New Year holidays when many people take vacation to be with their families.
The ISO and GW will be closed on Monday and Tuesday December 24th and 25th, and on Monday and Tuesday December 31st and January 1st. Please note that that the ISO along with other GW Administrative offices may be allowed close early on Friday, December 21st and Friday, December 28th to allow staff to travel.
If you have urgent business to conduct with the ISO that cannot wait until the first week of January 2013, please try to visit our office or contact your ISO advisor this week.
More specific information can be found at our ISO End of the Semester Guidelines webpage at this address: http://gwired.gwu.edu/iso/
REQUESTS NEEDED PRIOR TO START OF SPRING 2013 SEMESTER.
If you need an I-20 or DS-2019 extension, OPT or CPT employment authorization, permission for a Reduce Course Load (RCL) or Full Time Certification (FTC), etc. for spring 2013, please submit your request as soon as possible before the start of the winter break to avoid inconvenience or disappointment.
As always, we will try our best to process your request as quickly as possible. However, given the high volume of student requests that the ISO receives at this time of the year we may not be able to process requests in less than 10 business days (our standard processing time).
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Happy holidays!
