This healthcare course will introduce the basic concept, background, context of healthcare system in United States and Medicare/Medicaid program. We will especially help students understand why so many organizations need to handle the huge Medicare/Medicaid data. We will show Medicare/Medicaid claim data structure and the sample data as well.
We will also introduce statistical methods and models which are most frequently used in healthcare field especially healthcare outcome field. In addition, we will also teach students SAS skills to conduct the specific analysis, including Data step, PROC SQL, and the PROCs used in the corresponding statistical methods.
In addition, we will provide the service about how to prepare interview for the position of the statistician/analyst in healthcare field.
