Astar Education Institute, a Manassas, Virginia based non-profit organization which offers a variety of language and vocational programs for domestic and international students is seeking a new Program Coordinator to join the team. The ideal candidate possesses skills to help expand our Chinese Teacher Exchange Program and perform international marketing.

Under the direct supervision of the Director, the incumbent shall:

Locate & recruit students and organizations in China to boost enrollment in various educational & training programs.
Maintain thorough understanding of Astar's programs and policies
Develop international partnerships & work with international partners including Chinese & US schools and organizations, host families and international students.
Managing client and potential client communication in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
Promote Astar programs and perform marketing throughout country of China
Collaborate with key international partners to develop effective programs.
Serve as an advocate for program participants to ensure a positive experience before, during and after the program.
Assist with orientation needs for new program applicants.
Maintain thorough documentation of all communications.
Perform basic written and oral translation services as needed.

Perform office functions and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university
Minimum of 2 years of marketing or office experience (other relevant work experience can be substituted)
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize urgent tasks.
Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated knowledge of Chinese culture and market
Native Mandarin speaker who is also fluent in English
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
