Hello, potential roommate!
I'm posting to look for a female young professional to take the bedroom in a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment conveniently located 2 blocks from the Courthouse Metro Station. I have stayed in the living room separated from the common area by portable closets and would like to renew the lease starting on August 25 with a new roommate after my current roommate relocates to another state. The lease is for 12-month.
Our apartment has an in-the-unit washer and dryer, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, an individual climate control, and abundant closet space. Water is included in the rent and electricity is billed monthly (about $30 each person). The building features a fitness center, a game room, a business center, a common room in the lobby with free WiFi. Assigned parking space is available. The building is pet free.
The apartment building is 2 blocks from the Courthouse Station (4-min walk). The Metro station is on the Orange/Silver line and is two stops away from DC. The Clarendon/Courthouse neighborhood with many stores, restaurants, and bars within walking distance. A Wholefoods market is 1 block away and a Trader Joe's is a 10-min walk. Many beautiful, safe running trails are nearby.
I'm a female Ph.D. student at the dissertation-writing stage. I also work partly for the university. I typically spend the day writing either at home or in the lobby. I'm a clean and respectful person and looking for a roommate who likes to keep the common area clean and tidy.
