TCFA DC is pleased to announce that Rick Wallace, Principal and head of Global Investment Valuations and Analytics at the Carlyle Group (凯雷集团，全球私募领域的标杆(The link: http://www.carlyle.com/about-carlyle), will give us a presentation on Thursday, April 30th, 2015.
Topic: Investment Valuation and its Principal Applications. Mr. Wallace will have (i) a brief discussion of what he does in daily job and how he got here, (ii) an introduction to the basic principles of valuation and (iii) a discussion of its practical applications, with a focus on the private equity industry.
Time: Thursday, April 30th, 6:30 – 9:30 PM

Mr. Rick Wallace’s bio:
Mr. Wallace is a Principal and head of Global Investment Valuations and Analytics at The Carlyle Group, a global alternative asset manager with approximately $200 billion in assets under management. In that capacity, he oversees the quarterly valuation of several hundred investments, including operating companies, real estate, energy investments, credit-oriented investments, hedge funds and funds of funds. Prior to joining Carlyle in 2011, Rick was SVP and Valuation Director at Allied Capital, a multi-billion dollar Business Development Company (“BDC”), where he worked for six years in a similar capacity. Prior to that, he was a valuation consultant for six years with FTI Consulting and Arthur Anderson. Rick was a practicing attorney for a short period prior to beginning his career in valuation. He holds a B.A. in economics from Colby College and a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law.
