Research Associate or Research Scientist in a local Biotech Company

Description: RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform general molecular techniques such as gene     cloning, nucleic acid purification, gel-electrophoresis, RNA     transcription, cell culture, and bacterial culture.
  
• Perform nucleic acid analysis (RT-PCR and real time     qPCR) and analyze results.
  
• Culture cells using aseptic techniques. Introduce     nucleic acids into cultured cells.
  
• Develop and perform cell-based assays for drug     screening.
  
• Organize projects and data using Excel, Word and     PowerPoint
  
• Work with supervisor to plan and execute proof of     concept experiments as assigned according to the timelines.
  
• Record test results and data records
  
• Maintain a clean and safe lab environment.
  

Skills: Gene Subcloning; Mammalian Cell Culture; DNA,RNA Purification and Quantitation; RT-PCR and qPCR; Pseudo Virus and LentiVirus Production

Education and/or Experience

• An ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. or     Master’s degree in the molecular and cell biology with at least two years’     experience
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
  
• Two years experience in mammalian cell culture
  
• The candidate should be a self-starter and team     player, goal-oriented, organized, and enthusiastic about working in a     fast-paced environment.
