Fall 2016 Graduate Assistantship Positions inChinese Program, EALL, George Washington University Graduate Assistantships (GAs) in theChinese Program, Department of East Asian Languages & Literatures may beavailable to qualified GW graduate students. Primary duties include: assistingwith instruction, leading drill /discussion sections, giving individual tutorials,evaluating student written and oral work, and conferencing with the headinstructor regularly. Depending on the position offered, a GA is expected tocommit 12 -15 hours per week (mostly Mon-Thu). Qualifications: Native or near-native proficiency inChinese (with standard Mandarin pronunciation) and in English. Classroomteaching experience is also desired. Graduate students who already have a GW campusposition are not eligible. Required application materials: 1) Resume in both Chinese and English, 2) one-pageself-introduction in Chinese (hand written only, scanned copy or a photo), and3) 1-minute self-introduction video (in MP4 or via a YouTube link). Submission deadline: All GA applicants should send the three required itemsdirectly to Dr. Liana Chen via email at <liachen@gwu.edu> as soon as possible, preferably by June 10th, and specify in thesubject line “GA application”. Late submissions will be considered onlyif a GA position is still available.
