About the Ameson Foundation:
The Ameson Education & Cultural Exchange Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed tothe promotion and implementation of programs that facilitate cultural exchangeand educational cooperation around the world. Founded in New York in 1994, Ameson’s headquarters is located in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.  Ameson maintains offices in Shanghai,Beijing, and Nanjing, as well as numerous operation centers worldwide.  Ameson’s honorary Chairman is Dr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali, former Secretary General of the United Nations.
Summary of Position
The Ameson Foundation is seeking part-time interns to support our Professional Pathways Program (PPP). PPP offers professional development workshops and events for those poised to be the global leaders of tomorrow, including opportunities to connect with mentors, attend presentations by successful industry leaders, and navigate the job markets in the U.S. and abroad.
This is an unpaid internship.
Job Responsibilities
·        Programmatic support: Assist with day-to-day operational and administrative support, including researching potential future events and speakers, coordinating logistics withour Shanghai team, and data entry as needed.
·        Outreach: Support outreach efforts to potential speakers, student organizations, venues,etc. and develop content to publicize PPP events on our social media platforms.
·        Events: Provide logistical support for in-person and online events, including scheduling, set-up, publicity, and follow-up to ensure that all events runsmoothly and according to plan.
Qualifications
·        Pursuingor completed Bachelor’s degree/ equivalent
·        Priorevent planning, marketing, program management experience is strongly preferred
·        Demonstrated interest in international affairs and/or education
·        Exceptional command of written English
·        Strong written and oral communication skills
·        High attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
·        Abilityto work well in a team and independently with initiative
·        Knowledgeof Mandarin Chinese is preferred
