About the position:

We have a unique opportunity for those interested in more-than-just-teaching, more than editing college application essays: real mentorship with a real impact. We’re seeking extremely bright and motivated individuals eager to mentor smart Chinese students. We are also looking for proactive, creative people who want to play a major role growing our organization through active collaboration with management in dreaming up and then implementing different group initiatives. One or two-year positions available, with preference given to two-year commitments.
Specific responsibilities and opportunities will include:

•   Mentoring Chinese students looking to study in the US, including:
  1. Coaching Western skills like networking and extracurricular development.
  2. Teaching leadership development, soft skills, etc. – all the things that makes Western-style education coveted around the world.
  
•   Guiding students in their higher education planning and application completion
  
•   Assisting the company with sales and marketing initiatives and activities, including giving
  speeches and running workshops across China
  
•   Gaining experience in project development, process implementation, and business management.
  Consultants have designed service packages now used across all offices in China, developed academic curricula, and spearheaded social media marketing across Chinese media platforms
  
  •   Teaching 2-3 classes on American culture and college preparation per month
    
  •   Teaching SAT/SSAT/TOEFL preparation
    Qualifications:
    
    
  •   A Bachelors degree from an elite university
    
  •   2 years of work experience (MUST have)
    
  •   Excellent written and oral communication skills
    
  •   Genuine desire to work with students to help them achieve their goals
    
  •   Standardized entrance exam tutoring experience preferred
    
  •   Flexibility—be ready to deal with the unexpected; we are a start-up, after all!
    
  •   Solutions-oriented mindset
    
  •   A driven self-starter, and a team player
    
  •   Proficiency in Chinese a plus, but not required
    Location: Beijing or Shanghai
